Interspecies Intermingling of the Day: The Pocatello Zoo’s 4-year-old elk Shooter was recently caught on tape saving a drowning marmot that fell into a water tank in its enclosure.
“When we saw it down on the ground and he was nudging it and it was moving, it was like, ‘That’s incredible’,” zoo official Kate O’Conner told KPVI News 6. “He deliberately took that animal out of the tank.”
